Why use a drone

Some roofs are steep, tall, or covered in slate you don't want to walk on. A drone gets a close look without putting weight on the roof or setting a long ladder on soft ground.

We use it for inspections before a repair, after a storm, and when a buyer or seller wants a clear record of the roof's condition.

What a drone inspection covers

Missing and damaged shingles

Close-up shots of the surface, ridges, and edges.

Flashing

Chimneys, walls, vents, and skylights from angles a ladder misses.

Flat roofs

Standing water, open seams, and soft-looking patches.

Storm checks

A full pass after high wind or hail so you know what changed.

FAA-licensed, then we repair too

James is an FAA-licensed drone pilot. We fly over the property we're asked to inspect and keep the flight short and purposeful.

If the pictures show a repair, we can handle that too. Same company, same phone number. See also roof repair in Baltimore.

Drone inspection questions

Why use a drone instead of a ladder?

Steep roofs, tall homes, and fragile slate are safer and faster to check from the air. You also get clear pictures of spots you can't see from the ground.

Is James licensed to fly the drone?

Yes. He's an FAA-licensed drone pilot. We fly by the rules and only over property we're invited to inspect.

What do I get after a drone inspection?

Pictures and a plain-language summary of what we saw. Soft spots, missing shingles, open flashing, standing water on flat roofs.

Can a drone find every leak?

It shows the roof surface clearly. Some leaks still need a look from the attic or a hands-on check at the flashing. We'll say when that is.

Do you only inspect, or do you also repair?

Both. If the inspection shows a repair, we can do that work too. You're not handed off to someone else.
